Ireland Residency Program
Most people know Ireland for its pubs and cheerful people, but it has so much more to offer.
In fact, it’s such a great country that you shouldn’t think twice about moving here if you’re looking for a new place of residence. No matter where you’re currently living, you’ll surely be happy to call a country like Ireland your home. It has incredible scenery, an excellent schooling system, a dynamic cultural scene, and an economy that has been growing in recent years.
Along with Malta, Ireland is the only English-speaking country in the European Union.
If you become a citizen of this country, you will have a very powerful passport that will grant you visa-free access to over 170 different countries. In case you’re wondering how your kids will grow up here, know that they will have a lot of opportunities. Apart from the growing job market in Ireland, their education system is in the world’s top ten. It’s also worth noting that Ireland is where some of the most successful IT companies are located.
No matter which part of the country you choose to live in, you will be greeted by the friendly local community. Irish people are known for being very welcoming to foreigners. One of the main benefits of the Ireland Residency Program is that you’ll have an EU citizenship after five years of being a resident.
If you want to experience these benefits firsthand, you’ll need to meet certain requirements, such as:
- Investing a minimum of one million euros in an Approved Investment Fund for a minimum of three years
- Investing a minimum of one million euros in a single Irish enterprise for a minimum of three years. Note that you also have the option of spreading this sum of money over a number of enterprises.
- Investing a minimum of two million euros in any Irish real estate investment trust listed in the Irish Stock exchange for a minimum of three years.
- Making an endowment of at least half a million euros in a project of public benefit in the educational, health, cultural, sports, or arts field. In case you find at least four other investors interested in this opportunity, you can each pay a minimum of €400,000.
- Demonstrating a personal net worth in excess of two million British pounds.
Keep in mind that most people opt for the Approved Investment Fund option, since it provides a great return on investment. Low-risk investment funds like the Irish Diaspora Loan Fund are regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. If you choose to go this route, you will rest assured knowing that you will have maximum protection of your funds.
Once you send your application to the Ireland Residency Program, it will take about six to eight months for it to get approved. After the approval, you will have one month to select the type of investment you’ll make. When you make your investment, you’ll be issued a two-year resident visa, which will allow you and your family members to work and study in the country. Once this visa expires, you will have to submit an application for a three-year visa extension.
Ireland is one of Europe leading economy and it is the head quarter of tech giant such as Google and Facebook.
