Option 1: The US EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program

The EB-5 program is the most efficient way to get a permanent resident (‘green card’) status. With it, you can settle in any of the 50 states. To get the visa, you have to invest a significant amount of money into the country. Under this program, individuals and their immediate family members can become permanent residents of the USA within a short period.

US EB-5 Requirements:
A foreign applicant should invest USD 1 million or USD 500,000 (if the applicant makes the investment in a rural area or an area with high unemployment) in a new business and create 10 new full-time jobs. The funds should stay invested until the applicant gets a permanent resident status in about four years.

Option 2: Regional Center Investment Program

There are several designated ‘regional center' in the USA, each with its distinct industry

and geographic focus.

Regional Center Program Requirements:
- Applicants are required to invest a minimum of USD 500,000 into a designated regional center  project; this means becoming a limited partner in that local center's new enterprise.
- Applicants are supposed to have a net worth of more than USD 1 million with evidence that the funds came from legal sources.

-  Applicants must stay in the USA for a minimum of 180 days each year until unconditional green card status is granted if they want to apply for USA citizenship.
